Spring mini sessions went so well this year! But these 2 brothers might've had the most fun with this tea set!! They were so animated and so adorable! Capturing moments like this for momma is why I do what I do. All the feels!

I had the CUTEST sitter session a couple weeks ago! We just finished the reveal so now I can share them. Those cheeks, those eyes! I could just eat her up! Sitter sessions are my favorite- 6 mos is the perfect age! Can't wait to do this sweet little's cake smash in August!
When looking at my previous blog, I realize how incredibly behind I am at posting. As opposed to catching up with the last YEAR haha, I will take on the challenge to post my sessions here when they happen, or soon after! Ironically, I thought quite a bit today about guilt...mom-guilt to be exact. It's an amazing thing that we are multi-taskers always, with our hand in so many arenas: kids, work, house, hobbies, self-care (that's important and often forgotten,) yet we often feel guilty while doing ALL of these.
I had a wonderfully productive morning this morning- an absolutely adorable 6 month old sitter session with a client that I was lucky enough to shoot her newborn session, and will get to do the cake smash as well. I edited the entire session immediately after and felt great about it. This is rare, by the way. I have a toddler, who was at preschool, a new concept for us- as she's only been attending for a little over a month. We also started a non-profit last year and an additional business this year that launches in 3 days (You can imagine how busy it has been in our house lately!) Plug: Check out Youth Unplugged: raising awareness about technology balance through outdoor play. (Classes start this May for 2nd-5th graders!) www.YouthUnplugged.com So after being wonderfully productive, I found myself feeling guilty that I was so happy that I accomplished so much this morning while my baby was away at preschool. I know I'll get used to this and hopefully the guilt will lessen. I've talked to so many moms coming through my studio over the years that express the same things: guilt about if they're doing it right, guilt about going back to work, whether or not to breastfeed longer, starting a business, going back to school... The lists go on and on. So, moms, I say to you this late Tuesday evening...I am going to post my first blog in ahem, a whole year! And I am going to do it guilt-free (well, as much as possible!) I encourage you to give yourself a break, literally and figuratively. Moms work extremely hard! Parenting is tough and adding careers and personal interests into that equation, is even tougher. Kudos to you and all your multi-tasking! Great job for keeping those babies happy and healthy! The rest, well, it is what it is! Drink some tea this week and take some time to breathe, thinking about how you are a superstar for juggling so much! Have a lovely week and don't forget to appreciate all that you do rather than focusing on what you haven't done/"should've" done. You got this! And you're doing great! Oh, and here's the ADORABLE baby that I wanted to nibble, but that would be so inappropriate seeing as how she is not my baby! Those cheeks though! ;) (More pictures to come, but not before Mommy and Daddy see them at their Reveal Session!) Bows by Little Poppy Co Heart Bowl by The Original Photoblocks Had so much fun with curious, little Milo! He didn't want to sleep at all, but his expressions were so wonderful I didn't mind. Just look at this face!
I'm terribly behind in posting, after a wonderful and busy Holiday season, but here's a glimpse of beautiful Delaney. We had her reveal session today- it's always so much fun to see the excitement in parents' faces when they see their baby's photographs in person!
Santa Sessions are all sold out, but the requests are still coming in for Holiday sessions, so I've decided to open up an additional Holiday Mini Session day!!
Saturday, Nov. 18th from 10am-2pm 25 minute sessions 1 complimentary high resolution digital image 2 beautiful sets Pictures will be back to you by December 9th... ...in time to send out Holiday cards and give gift prints to friends and family!
